Justin Clark

Justin Clark serves as Vice President of Engineering Services at Birdon, bringing more than two decades of leadership experience across marine engineering, shipbuilding, operations, production, planning, procurement, project controls, estimating, and shipyard management. In his role, he oversees engineering services for complex maritime programs, ensuring technical excellence, operational efficiency, and successful customer outcomes.

Throughout his career, Justin has held senior leadership positions with Trident Marine Consultants, Signet Shipbuilding & Repair, Washburn & Doughty Associates, and Bath Iron Works, a General Dynamics company. His extensive industry experience spans commercial vessel construction and repair, advanced tugboat programs, vessel commissioning and sea trials, regulatory compliance, contract and warranty support, and naval shipbuilding.

Justin has led multidisciplinary teams ranging from specialized engineering groups to shipyard production organizations of more than 250 personnel in both union and non-union environments. His expertise includes production planning and scheduling, quality and safety management, cost control, workforce development, facility coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives. He is a strong advocate for operational excellence, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and Drum-Buffer-Rope methodologies to improve performance and efficiency.

Known for his ability to bridge engineering strategy with production execution, Justin has a proven track record of strengthening collaboration across technical and operational teams, enhancing production flow, improving estimating and planning accuracy, and delivering high-quality results in demanding marine construction and repair environments.
