Terri Benson

Terri Benson is Birdon’s Chief Strategy Officer. She joined Birdon in 2011 and has played a key role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and long-term priorities. Terri brings extensive leadership experience across the government, utility, and private infrastructure sectors, having served in both executive and non-executive roles throughout her career.

Prior to joining Birdon’s executive leadership team, Terri was the Managing Director of the Victorian Government’s water services company, South East Water. She has also held senior executive positions including Chief Executive Officer of SEQ Water and Managing Director of Essential Energy.

A graduate of Western Sydney University and Harvard Business School, Terri has built a distinguished career grounded in expertise in finance, corporate services, governance, and strategy. She is a strong advocate for increasing opportunities for women in leadership and advancing female participation in the trades. Terri believes that diverse perspectives and experiences at every level of the organization contribute to stronger decision-making and long-term success.
